Creative Items to Share through your Portal

Sharing through your Portal

The new Advanced Portal Styling feature allows for unlimited customization potential, allowing your organization to create a seamless transition between corporate website and your Parature portal. So in designing your new portal, what creative items can you add to further improve the customer experience?

Your portal already serves as the main location for self service content, ways to contact your team, chat options, etc. Let’s talk about some things you can add to your portal that it may not already provide:

Facebook “Like” button linking to your Fan Page
As previously discussed in one of our blog posts about the power of the “Like” button, you can install a button on your Portal. When the customer clicks on this button, it will bring them to your Facebook Fan Page. This is a good installment to any page, but will make a great addition to your portal and guide your customers towards another outlet you use to share information.

Social Media links: Follow Us, Blog, YouTube
If your organization uses multiple social media outlets, it’s a good idea to include links to all of these on your Portal. For instance, you can have a “Follow Us” link to allow your customers to follow you on Twitter. Additionally, you can provide a link to your YouTube channel and blog sites. These are all locations that you can promote to your customers not only through your company website, but through your portal as well.

Top tweets or Facebook posts regarding your organization
These could be tweets and posts made by your organization, or posts and tweets by others referencing your organization. For example, if you’re Company XYZ and one of your clients is Company ABC, maybe Company ABC tweets, “Wow the customer support at @Company XYZ is just fantastic!” This tweet is positive feedback for your organization and is something you may want to share with your customers, encouraging them to submit their own feedback. The same logic goes for Facebook if a customer is tagging your organization in a post; it  may be something you would like to share with your clientele through your portal.

Events
Your portal is a great place to announce events you have coming up. This could be company organized events like webinars, customer meet-ups, kickoffs, etc. It could also be industry events that you want to share with your customers or anything you might find useful. Having a place to announce these events on your portal can prove to be beneficial and drive traffic towards these items and your corporate website.

Featured highlights of your team
Forming personal relationships with your customers is important to the success of your business. One way to do this is by introducing them to individuals within your organization. One idea to kick this off is by doing a weekly highlight on an employee at your company with their picture and a couple things about them. Your organization can designate a section for this on your portal to introduce your team.

Forums
If you use forums, encourage your customers to communicate. Being active in your forums and then inviting your customers to join the conversation allows for more sharing of content and customer to customer brain power.
